EMS

Electrical Muscle Stimulation, or EMS, uses gentle electrical impulses through surface pads to help awaken, relax, and support the body’s soft tissues. These currents are designed to communicate with the muscles in a way that encourages circulation, eases holding patterns, and helps the body shift out of unnecessary tension. Rather than forcing change, EMS works with the body’s natural intelligence to create an environment where greater ease and function can emerge.
At the Chiropractic & Wellness Center, we view the body as electric by design. The nervous system communicates through electrical signals, and every muscle responds to the information it receives from the brain and spinal cord. When stress, posture, injury, or repetitive patterns create tension in the body, muscles can become guarded or overactive. EMS offers a supportive input that helps calm those patterns and invite the tissues back toward balance.
EMS may be used alongside chiropractic care to support the Neuro-Spinal system and the surrounding muscles that protect and move the spine. When the muscles are holding less tension, the body often has more freedom to adapt, integrate, and move with greater ease. This makes EMS a helpful complement for members who are looking to support recovery, improve comfort, and reconnect with their body’s natural ability to organize and heal.
Our intention is not to override the body, but to give it a clear, gentle signal. EMS is one more way we help members get out of their own way, allowing the body to do what it was designed to do: regulate, repair, and express life with greater freedom.
